Aim Summer 2023

Happy summer! We hope your summer has been as adventurous as ours. We finished up helping with the VBS programs in Beatty and Amargosa, Nevada in the beginning of July. We are thankful to have once again worked with Larisa Craig and her ministry team. Our days consisted of teaching Bible stories, running games, helping with crafts, and presenting a few of our mime songs. Both churches that we worked with were grateful for our work and wanted us back again next year. Additionally, we were invited to do more VBS weeks with the Craig family’s ministry next summer. Please be in prayer for the kids who heard the gospel that the seeds would take root. Also, please pray for the communities of Beatty and Amargosa as they are both physically and spiritually dry.

Our ministry team for the week

On the horizon for us is our annual Matthew Discipleship Conference. Pray for safe travels as we fly to Pennsylvania this weekend. Also pray as we fellowship with other like-minded ministries and hear the talks that we would be refreshed and encouraged with new ideas on how to serve our communities. For more information on the conference, click HERE.

Finally, we are excited to announce Aim Mimelings, a younger team for youth ages 7-12! The Mimelings will meet on Mondays from 4:30pm to 7:00pm at Grace Brethren Church. We will not have a training camp for this team. We are still working on booking outreaches, but overall, the goal is to only have about one outreach per month. For our first session, the youth will not lead Bible studies like the older team. Instead, the leaders will lead the studies, followed by a group prayer time and then miming! We may explore having the members lead studies the following session. The first week of practice will be considered a trial week, and then by the second week we would like a formal commitment to join the team for the fall session. The session starts Monday, September 11th, and ends on December 18th.

Finally, if you know of anyone who might be interested, our Mime-for-a-Day Workshop is on August 13th. It is a great opportunity for kids and youth to try the ministry out for just a day. If you could think of some kids aged 7-18 that might be interested in joining, would you please reach out to them about this workshop? That personal touch makes all the difference for us.
