Service Project and Study in Ephesians

“So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, …” Philippians 2:1-5

Today the Aim missions trip team had the opportunity to serve a community in San Diego. We were able to dig some holes for plants, pick up lots of trash, and pull out some weeds. It was nice to be able to see how much others seemed touched by this. I love the thought that the Lord can use such little things (helping clean up trash for a couple hours) to bless others.

After doing this, the team sat down to do another study in Ephesians. This time we studied the end of chapter 2. We talked about how every member of this team is very important. We are all meant to be here. No one is an extra member. We also got to talk about how Christ is the cornerstone. The Bible study times are so nice, and Tim is always able to tie it back into how this Scripture can stretch, grow, and unify the team these coming days.

Tomorrow, we will be on the road. We will keep you guys updated as much as possible. If you haven’t already, please subscribe to get our email updates. You can do this by filling out the blank(s) at the end of this post. 🙂
