Aim Update: VBS at Home and Abroad

Hello Aim friends and family. It has been a crazy summer so far and it will continue to be a crazy summer for the next few weeks. Just last week we served Highpoint Church by helping out with their VBS as the story time teachers. We presented mime songs, did some funny skits of Bible stories, and taught the kids about the gospel. We also took verse memorization to the next level by coming up with signs for each memory verse. We got to help out with the rest of the VBS too, including assisting with the crafts, refereeing the games, and… “partaking” in the snacks. The kids had a great time, and so did we!

Next week we are driving out to Beatty to help them with their VBS. The curriculum is the same, but we will be doing three rounds of VBS, Amargosa in the morning, and two age groups for Beatty in the evening. In a few weeks, we will be sending our leadership team (plus some other freeloaders) to Pennsylvania for the annual Matthew Discipleship Conference. That is always a great time of networking and sharing in our fervor for ministry.

Finally, we want to ask for your prayers in this time going forward. We have appointed Emily Perry as a new director for the team, so pray she stays strong in her faith and does her duties admirably. Also pray for our ministry opportunities in the future. As we go to Beatty, pray for safe travels and for a smooth and fun VBS while we are there. Lastly, pray for our team as we seek to expand our membership through the Mime for a Day Workshop, partnering with other churches, and maintaining good relationships with those who have been here for a long time.
