Half Way There
Oh, we’re half way there!
Wow, this trip is going fast! We’ve been very busy, so here are the highlights.
Monday and Tuesday morning we worked with a group that is in between Tecate and Tijuana. These people literally live in the dump where people throw away their trash. We spent a few hours each day playing games with the kids, sharing bible verses and presenting the gospel.
In the afternoons we have been helping with the VBS at Primera Iglesia Bautista Sinaí de Tecate. We have helped most with crafts and games, but with about 60 kids there is lots to help keep things running smoothly. This has also been our time to work with the church group from Washington in co-mission. It has been great working alongside them in unity and hanging out with them after the VBS is over each day.
Finally, we have been working at Villas Campo mission Wednesday and Thursday again playing games with the kids and sharing the gospel. We will again be there today (Friday) before getting ready for the last day of VBS.
Please continue to pray for us to stay healthy and strong. No one has gotten sick to this point, praise God! Continue to pray for the kids who will be hearing the gospel that they would respond to God’s call. Pray also for us that we would have Jesus’ heart for the kids we are serving. Thank you all for praying!
